Accounting Services Department

The department’s principal areas of responsibility include:
  • the receipt and disbursement of all funds
  • preparation of monthly financial statements
  • preparation of the annual audit
  • assistance in budget preparation
  • maintenance of the Convention’s fixed asset system
  • maintenance of internal control throughout the Convention
  • the development of effective accounting procedures and systems.

Care is taken to ensure that improvements are made to the structure of the accounting system which not only reflect the changing standards and requirements of the various accounting organizations which determine generally accepted accounting principles for not-for-profit organizations, but also for improved reporting to the Board and its teams and departments.
