The mission of the Information Technology Department is to equip and train the Kentucky Baptist Convention and association staff in the use of the technology so they may serve churches more efficiently and effectively. This department also maintains KBC databases and provides support for electronic equipment.
- Support and monitor KBC computer network (includes Kentucky Baptist Foundation, and Woman's Missionary Union)
- Maintaining servers related to network files, accounting/database, e-mail, web/fax, voice mail and communications.
- Supporting and maintaining personal computers used by Kentucky Baptist Convention staff
- Support and implement KBC electronic communication systems: e-mail, voice mail, faxing, web
- Remote system access for traveling employees

- Manage collection of Annual Church Profile information from congregations, train and support Associational staff on use of ACP Collector software.
- Managing and handling requests for reports from SCAN-US demographic analysis software
- Custom software development
Kentucky Baptist churches working to gather their statistics for the Annual Church Profile are noticing changes in the forms this year. That's because the Kentucky Baptist Convention Information Technology Department redesigned the collection process for Kentucky in an effort to bridge the gap between the needs of associations and the needs of other Southern Baptist organizations.
