WMU Team to Teresina
My mission trip to Brazil had a great impact on my Christian life. I saw the humble beginning of people who wished to find Christ as their savior. I saw the elite and the poor; however to me the poor were the ones who really wanted Christ to live in their hearts. I was in homes that had nothing worth living for, but they were meek and humble to listen to the word of God. I loved the people because in their humble means they were very happy people and had a thriving thirst to know Jesus. They were so eager to listen and learn about Jesus, the Son of God. My greatest excitement was when I visited the churches in this poor country, those who were Christian really showed their love, by their actions, which was dancing, hugging and singing gospel songs, not with an organ or a piano, but maybe a guitar or no instruments at all. The church that they worship in didn’t have any nice furniture, just wooden benches, (sometimes just plastic, Wal-Mart chairs). However, the love they showed was greater than all the wealth in the world. This trip made me feel closer to God, than anything I ever did. My mission trip to Brazil was a mission with God. I felt His presence everywhere I went. It was a glorious, wonderful, inspiring and spiritual trip for me.

"When we arrived, there was four feet of snow on the ground. A lot of snow for Kentucky people, but it did not cool our spirits..."
