| Marriage Preparation Seminar |
 Marriage does not just happen. It is planned for and grown. Seriously dating, engaged couples, couples married less than one year are invited to spend a day preparing for marriage. Couples will explore their relationship and readiness for marriage through:
- Examining marriage as a covenant commitment relationship
- Appreciating the uniqueness of each person, valuing personality/gender differences
- Expanding communication and conflict resolution skills
- Taking an honest, sincere look at your relationship now and where you want to grow
Each couple is asked to consider these important relational elements:
Our Story
Remember how you met and what you first liked about one another? What does marriage mean to you? Do you know what it can mean?
Our Uniqueness
Have you discovered your unique differences? Do your differences complement one another or cause anger and stress?
Our Connection
How do you stay connected? Do you talk and listen to one another so each feels heard and understood? How do you get beyond problems and disagreements?
Our Plan
Have you planned a fabulous wedding day ceremony? What about the fabulous plan for your marriage? What does it look like? How will you know at your 5 or 10 year anniversary if you have the marriage you want?
This seminar is appropriate for the college and university campus setting, churches with several couples seriously dating, engaged or married less than a year, or as a community event held in a local church.
