Details
Kentucky Baptist Convention church gifts to the Cooperative Program make it possible for the staff of the Preschool/Children's Sunday School Department to respond without cost to the needs of churches and associations. The Department staff are able to provide training for leaders in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, weekday education, special needs ministry, January Bible Study, and young adult ministry. Training can be designed to meet your needs.


Available Conferences
Acceptance
Investigate the importance of acceptance to every child. Understand how to accept each child and to model acceptance. (1 hour)

Boundaries with Kids
Enjoy discussing this excellent book by Cloud and Townsend. Review how to set and model boundaries with children. (3 hours)

Brain Development
Study the latest brain development research for preschoolers and children. Learn how we as teachers can tap into this information and apply it in our teaching. (3 hours)

Children Age Group Characteristics
This conference enables teachers to focus on children, their needs, and their stages in order to understand better those we are called to teach. (1.5 hours)

Children in Crisis
Find out about appropriate ministry to children and families in crisis. Discuss resources available to the church. (2 hours)

Children’s Curriculum Workshop
Knowing your children’s curriculum resources and how to use them can facilitate great learning experiences. Hands-on experience with the curriculum is encouraged in this workshop. Assistance is also available for helping you make wise curriculum choices. (1.5 hours)

This conference focuses on the building blocks of effective children’s Sunday School work. (2-3 hours)

Communication with Parents
Investigate different ways to communicate with parents. Develop a plan of how to communicate more effectively. (3 hours)

Extended Teaching Care
Actually experience and debrief an Extended Teaching Care lesson. Study and do next Sunday’s lesson for babies-kindergarteners. (1.5 hours)
