Women’s Job Corp in Kentucky
Today I would like to tell you about a group of people who give of their time to help others. They are the mentors of the Women’s Job Corp. A mentor is someone who helps and teaches or shows other people how to do things. These mentors have one or more young women that they help. Some of the things the mentors do to help include teaching Bible studies, teaching the ladies how to find a job, and other skills to help them succeed in life.
The theme of the Eliza Broadus State Missions and Prayer focus is Friend to Friend. The Women’s Job Corp is one example of the way our Eliza Broadus Offering go to help other people and is a true example of Friend to Friend. As we close today let’s pray for all the mentors of the Women’s Job Corp and for the women that they are mentoring. Close in prayer for the Women’s Job Corp.

Ministering to International Students in Kentucky
Tommy Johnson is a campus minister to international students in Kentucky (explain that a campus minister is someone who works at a college to tell others about Jesus). He says that God is bringing the world to Kentucky. There are over 7,000 international students attending colleges and universities in Kentucky. A lot of these students come from places like India and China where sharing about Jesus is not a common practice and some of these students have never heard of Jesus. The time that these students are in Kentucky may be the only opportunity they will ever have to hear about Jesus.
This ministry to international students is another example of ways that the Eliza Broadus Offering goes to help other people. Some ways ministry to international students takes place is by building friendships with these students and developing Bible studies for them. The international students are given a Bible in their own language. Ministering to the international students is another example of Friend to Friend in Kentucky.
Close in prayer. Pray for all the college and university campus ministers and they minister to the International Students also pray for the International Students as they study and learn more about Jesus.

Creative Ministries in Kentucky
If possible open by having some mime, do a short drama, juggle, or do puppets. If not just begin by talking about creative ways to share Jesus with their friends.
Creative Ministries is one way that we can learn how to share Christ in a creative way. (Ask the Children if they know what is Creative Ministries? Let them share answers and then give a definition and examples).
Tell them that God is using Kentucky Baptist of all ages to share His truth by people using their creative talents. The Creative Ministry Festival provides both training in creative ministries and missions outreach. These workshops explore areas of interpretive movement, clowning, drama, missions and much more. The overall purpose is to share the gospel and make friends.
The Eliza Broadus Offering goes to help support the Creative Ministries Festival and to Make Friends across the state of Kentucky while sharing Jesus love with others. Creative Ministries is also an example of Friend to Friend in Kentucky.
Close in prayer. Pray for the Creative Ministries Festival and all those who do creative ministries in Kentucky.
