Kentucky Baptists Connect Resources Mailed

LOUISVILLE – Packets highlighting Kentucky Baptists Connect resources have been mailed to pastors and directors of missions.

Kentucky Baptists Connect is a new five-year emphasis of the Convention to reach people for Christ, strengthen churches and develop leaders.

The packet is designed to provide more information about Kentucky Baptists Connect to pastors and directors of missions and encourage them to lead their churches to commit to becoming a "Kentucky Baptists Connect goals.

Churches that commit to Kentucky Baptists Connect goals agree to strive to increase baptisms, disciple new members, start at least two new Bible study units, launch a new ministry to a group of people the church has not reached out to before, and train new and current leaders each year for church ministries.
Each packet contains a letter from KBC Executive Director Bill Mackey, a commitment form, a Kentucky Baptists Connect brochure, a printed copy of the first issue of the Kentucky Baptists Connect e-newsletter, Kentucky Baptists Connect posters, and a DVD with a variety of Kentucky Baptists Connect videos and other material. The packet also contains an order form for additional materials. Resources are available at low or no cost to Kentucky Baptist churches. Resources include:
  • Up to five Kentucky Baptists Connect Mission Study Committee Reports available free to each church; additional copies are 50 cents each.
  • One free 24 inch x 48 inch vertical banner featuring a full color image of the Kentucky Baptists Connect logo available to each church; additional banners are $10 each.
  • Two copies of the printed version of “Growing Kentucky's Churches from the Outside In,” a Barna Group study commissioned by the Kentucky Baptist Convention available to each church; additional printed copies are $5 each.
  • Bulletin inserts are available free in any quantity.
